About our Client:

Our client is a non-asset based logistics company averaging $10M in annual revenue covering freight from dry van to LCL/FCL, and everything in between. As an Account Manager, there is an opportunity for advancement into management, within the first 6-9 months. Duties:

  • Sell the appropriate services¬†to existing and potential customers
  • Ensure new clients are transitioned well, and maintain current client relationships
  • Become “the glue” between sales and operations
  • Respond to all customer RFQ’s
  • Understand internal and external buying influences, budgets and purchasing criteria for all assigned accounts
  • Oversee all responses to spot quote requests
  • Prepare and present quarterly business reports for customers as necessary
  • Provide a quick and accurate resolution to pick-up, in-transit and delivery-related issues
  • Remain fully informed of all rules and regulations related to brokering FTL and LTL freight
  • Efficiently use the company’s internal transportation management system (TMS)
  • Attend weekly staff meetings
  • Keep immediate superior promptly and fully informed of all operational issues
  • Successfully manage, train, and develop a team of account coordinators and carrier sales representatives
  • Conduct clear and appropriate performance reviews

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in produce/food freight required
  • Comfortable being “the glue” between sales and operations
